Crimson & Clover

By: Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

Ah, now I don't hardly know her
But I think I can love her
Crimson and clover

Ah, now when she comes walkin' over
Now I've been waitin' to show her
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Yeah, if I'm not such a sweet thing
I wanna do everything
What a beautiful feelin'
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Crimson and clover, over and over
Crimson and clover, over and over
Crimson and clover, over and over
Crimson and clover, over and over

Fall Into Autumn

Autumn is my absolute favorite season of the year. From the fashion to the food, to the colors of the leaves and feel of the air; It just quenches my creative thirst. I remember being young, when fall meant back-to-school and death to social freedom. But what I now appreciate about fall is change. Leaves die, summer flings come to an end, all my favorite shows come back from summer hiatus, and I finally get to pull out that box of sweaters I stashed away last year. I find myself getting excited about all the fun layers I can throw together. Be inventive this fall. Consolidate you closet by making use of those summer tops throwing on a light sweater or jacket, and wrap around a bold scarf to accent that look.  Share below your favorite fall trends and what this season means to you.

Runaway Train

Sometimes I wanna get away for a while. Away from the hustles and bustles of this unforeseeable train-ride that we call life. Sometimes we don't wanna wait for the next stop. We just wanna get there or take the short cut to where we truly wanna be. Patience is a virtue oftentimes neglected. As humans we want full control over where we're going, what we're doing, how we get there, and when. I'm guilty of this. I like knowing what's next. As I grow, I learn that some of the greatest moments in life happen spontaneously. I can't tell you how many times I thought I knew the answer to something and ended up having to take an alternate route to get there. Every day I learn how to just let go and let faith take me on this locomotive journey. And though it may be easier to just runaway, I have to force myself to just go along for the ride.

Sunday Kinda Love

"I want a Sunday kind of love
A love to last past Saturday night
And I’d like to know
It’s more than love at first sight
And I want a Sunday kind of love
Oh yeah, yeah..."

I've always loved this Etta James song. As a hopeless romantic, I can easily identify. Picture it...

| You're out one Saturday night, not expecting to meet anyone, but then suddenly you link eyes with someone from across the room. In that single moment your heart flutters, your stomach tingles, and you subconsciously envision yourself having the most intense, love-filled relationship together. A gravitational pull lures you to each other. Every word exchanged means everything and nothing at the same time...You have the most romantic night together and can't possibly imagine how you two have never met before. You hope that this intoxicating connection is more than just the liquor talking, and that you just may have truly met "The One." And Sunday morning you wake up and those feelings are still there. |

That to me is a Sunday Kinda Love...
